Why Dammy Krane Was Thrown Out From 2Baba’s Record Label
An insider gives real reasons why Dammy Krane was expelled from 2Baba’s Hypertek music imprint.
Dammy Krane is still hugging the headlines ever since the blogosphere and the entire social media went into a meltdown because of his arrest in Miami.
According to Saturday Beats, the embattled singer’s problem compounded after he was tossed out of Hypertek Digital.
It was revealed by a close source that he was kicked out of the label two years back (2015), and since then the struggling singer has been scouting for new sponsors to push his music. The expulsion informed his trip to the US in a bid to salvage his career which eventually ended in his arrest.
Absolute discretion was maintained by both the singer and his erstwhile label as a means of damage control on their images.
The source, however, spelt out the reason why the singer was cut loose from the umbrella of Hypertek.
“Dammy Krane had left Tuface’s Hypertek record since February 2015. Tuface is trying to build a reputable company and they do not want any negative news. That is why they did not announce his exit from the label. They had issues with him over the way he was doing collaborations with other artistes.
“It was not part of the contract that he signed, so technically it is a breach of contract. They gave him several warnings which he did not adhere to, so they had no choice but to terminate the contract that they had with him. They did not make any noise about it because they did not want anything that would dent his image and that of the company. He was in the US to get new investor to help his career and also shoot some videos because he already had new material. He was also meant to use the opportunity to embark on his US tour,” the source said.
